Lesson 5 : Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition in literary synonymous with contrast which means two objects or texts that oppose one another. An example will makes you more understand about juxtaposition. Eg. He want to jogging but he doesn't want to wear shoes. In the 1st clause, it explains the activities he want to do but in 2nd clause implies that he want to run with his bare foots. Both clauses shows a related situations yet shows a direct opposition between them. In literature and film, juxtaposition is the arrangement of two opposing ideas, characters or objects for effect. Usually juxtaposition techniques are used for the further development of characters, storylines, it applies different emotions, facial expressions, abstract concepts or images to them.

Lesson 4 : Associated Mind Map

Last week we have talk about logical mind map, this week i gonna share with you what is associated mind map. What is associated? Associated is to connect or bring into relation, as thought, feeling, memory. Associated mind map required divergent thinking. Divergent thinking is a brainstorming process or method to generate ideas by exploring many possible solutions. In divergent thinking process, usually one people will have many ideas generated in random and unorganized ways, then finally reach a correct solution. Associated mind map is different from logical mind map. The information in logical mind map are more typical and straight forward while associated mind map is more freely and irrational, but this doesn't mean it was wrong. For example,when we talk about cell phone, what is the first thing shows out in your mind? Communication? mp3? or touch screen? In associated thinking, maybe we will say relationship of people or perhaps fingers moving. This is called thinking out of the box, which is very popular lately..So, try to think different ans see different and you will get the difference of result.

Lesson 3 : Logical Mind Map and Stereotype

Mind mapping was introduced by Tony Buzan has helped people a lot in the process of brainstorming and ideas generation. Mind map can use to explore and develop ideas for a specific problem, use it to think, doodle and see when it takes you, use it to take notes from lectures and to summarize books or stories.

Example of mind map.

Mind map have so many advantages in doing your works. It will leads you to flow of thoughts and new discoveries. It is a type of visual stimulating makes you easy to remember and accept the information. Besides, it improves your creativity and when you want to recall, it is quite easy for you. We doesn't need any long essay in mind map, Keywords are perfect, so it is also a saving time method. There are 2 types of mind map, one is logical and another is associated. Today we are just talks about the logical mind map. Logical mind map is directly to stereotypes, every words and images put in the mid map is straight related to the main subject through its links.

From the definition in dictionary.com, stereotypes in sociology. a simplified and standardized conception or image invested with special meaning and held in common by members of a group: The cowboy and Indian are American stereotypes. Stereotypes is to give fixed, unvarying form to one subject. Stereotypes have many types, example black stereotypes, white americans stereotypes, asian stereotypes and so on. Sometimes, it can be good and it can be bad as well. The result of stereotypes can lead to misunderstood and wrong circumstances.

Lesson 2 : A Great Guy!

This is the great guy i was talking about. He is Alexander Graham Bell. He was a Scottish scientist and inventor who immigrated to Canada. Today, Bell is widely considered one of the foremost developers of the telephone, together with Antonio Meucci, inventor of the first telephone prototype, and Philipp Reis. Six years after having obtained his telephone patent, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. In addition to Bell's work in telecommunications technology, he was responsible for important advances in aviation and hydrofoil technology. Is the invention of telephone is novelty and creative? I think the answer is yes. The earlier people communicate to each other by letters, signals or telegraph, but Bell figured out a new way to communicate, which is telephone. With Bell's creative thinking and wisdom, his invention has brings many benefits to people.

Lesson 2 : Interesting music video I have seen in youtube

This music video is incredible, unlike other music video, this mv presents the song in different ways. It was directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs. Produced by Shirley Moyers. The official video for the recorded version of "This Too Shall Pass" off of the album "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky". The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The "machine" was designed and built by the band, along with members of Syyn Labs over the course of several months. Lets check this amazing video out!!

Lesson 2 : Novelty?Creativity?Innovation?Invention?

Today we are going to talk about what is novelty,creativity,innovation and invention. These nouns are important to those people who want to be a creative person. Lets talk about novelty 1st. Novelty is divided into 2 types, subjective novelty and objective novelty. Subjective novelty is consciousness of something as being new by a person or a group of people. Objective novelty is something that is new for all humanity. Some people are trying to be novelty but somehow it brings the negative result to them. Being novelty does not means have to be original, we can used the ideas created before and preceded by something different, therefore, the concept of novelty should not taken for granted.

Is instant noodle a novelty?For me, yes. It was replaced the traditional noodle cooking way to faster and easier way.

Creativity

A creative person is one who develops and generates ideas. The definition for creativity has been an argument to many people. According to Howard Gardner, being creative is doing something unusual. The idea is called creative only if it is make sense and adaptable to society. In addition, the idea need to makes change to the society too. Creativity does not happen just like that, it needs the interactions between people's thought.

This is an example of creativity, adaptable and make changes in life.

Innovation and invention.

Innovation and creativity are often misunderstood by people. Innovation means brings in new ideas or make changes. It is like introducing something we never seen before, it is completely new and no one have done it before, that's only we call innovation. An invention is a new composition, device or process. Invention is a very creative process. It acquired intelligence and wisdom in order to accomplished the objective of invention and innovation. The inventors have to think outside the box and knowledgeable. Sometimes a new possibility, a new connection or relationship can spark an invention. Thomas Edison who experienced many trials and fails, finally invented the light bulb which lights up the world. Invention required the spirit of never give up and keep trying. Inventions are beneficial to people, not HARM.
