Lesson 2 : Novelty?Creativity?Innovation?Invention?


Today we are going to talk about what is novelty,creativity,innovation and invention. These nouns are important to those people who want to be a creative person. Lets talk about novelty 1st. Novelty is divided into 2 types, subjective novelty and objective novelty. Subjective novelty is consciousness of something
as being new by a person or a group of people. Objective novelty is something that is new for all humanity. Some people are trying to be novelty but somehow it brings the negative result to them. Being novelty does not means have to be original, we can used the ideas created before and preceded by something different, therefore, the concept of novelty should not taken for granted.














Is instant noodle a novelty?For me, yes. It was replaced the traditional noodle cooking way to faster and easier way.



Creativity
A creative person is one who develops and generates ideas. The definition for creativity has been an argument to many people. According to Howard Gardner, being creative is doing something unusual. The idea is called creative only if it is make sense and adaptable to society. In addition, the idea need to makes change to the society too. Creativity does not happen just like that, it needs the interactions between people's thought.














This is an example of creativity, adaptable and make changes in life.

Innovation and invention.
Innovation and creativity are often misunderstood by people. Innovation means brings in new ideas or make changes. It is like introducing something we never seen before, it is completely new and no one have done it before, that's only we call innovation. An invention is a new composition, device or process. Invention is a very creative process. It acquired intelligence and wisdom in order to accomplished the objective of invention and innovation. The inventors have to think outside the box and knowledgeable. Sometimes a new possibility, a new connection or relationship can spark an invention. Thomas Edison who experienced many trials and fails, finally invented the light bulb which lights up the world. Invention required the spirit of never give up and keep trying. Inventions are beneficial to people, not HARM.
