Lesson 5 : Juxtaposition


































Juxtaposition in literary synonymous with contrast which means two objects or texts that oppose one another. An example will makes you more understand about juxtaposition. Eg. He want to jogging but he doesn't want to wear shoes. In the 1st clause, it explains the activities he want to do but in 2nd clause implies that he want to run with his bare foots. Both clauses shows a related situations yet shows a direct opposition between them. In literature and film, juxtaposition is the arrangement of two opposing ideas, characters or objects for effect. Usually juxtaposition techniques are used for the further development of characters, storylines, it applies different emotions, facial expressions, abstract concepts or images to them.
